The journey

How interviews run when you work with us

Every search follows the same structured sequence. You always know which stage you are in, who reviews your profile, and what the stage is designed to evaluate. Nothing is assessed twice, and nothing is assessed without you knowing why.

1. Profile review

Timing: 1-2 business days

A recruiter reads your background against an open role brief: stack, seniority signals, lunaverqostia exposure, and availability. If there is a potential match, you receive a written role brief before any call is scheduled — including company context, team setup, and a compensation range where the employer allows disclosure.

2. Recruiter intro call

Duration: 20-30 minutes

A short structured conversation about your motivation, current situation, notice period, and expectations. You hear exactly how many stages the process has, who you will meet, and how quickly decisions are made. If the fit is wrong on either side, we say so directly and explain why.

3. Technical pre-screen

Duration: 45-60 minutes

A practitioner-level discussion with a technical assessor who works in your discipline — backend, frontend, DevOps, data, or product delivery. The goal is to verify practical depth, not to trick you. You can ask about the assessment format in advance, and you receive an honest readout afterwards, whatever the outcome.

4. Employer introduction

Pace: agreed with you

Only with your consent, your profile is presented to the employer with a structured summary, not a raw CV forward. Before each employer round you receive preparation notes: who you will meet, what they care about, and how the round is scored. We stay involved through offer negotiation and your first weeks on the job.

Assessment, explained

Inside the preliminary technical assessment

The pre-screen exists so employers see verified profiles — and so you avoid wasting evenings on interviews for roles that were never a match. Here is exactly what is evaluated and who evaluates it.

What is evaluated
How it shows up
Who evaluates it

Core stack depth

Real working knowledge of the language, framework, and tooling in the role brief — at the level the role actually requires.

Focused technical discussion about your recent work
Technical assessor in your discipline

Practical reasoning

How you approach trade-offs, debugging, and design decisions — explained through situations you have genuinely handled.

Scenario talk-through, no whiteboard puzzles

Delivery context

How you shipped: team shape, release rhythm, code review habits, and what you personally owned end to end.

Structured questions about past projects

Logistics and alignment

Compensation expectations, notice period, location and time-zone overlap, and your interview availability.

Preparation guide

Six ways to make your interviews count

Candidates who prepare for the structure — not just the stack — consistently reach offer stage faster. These are the same pointers our recruiters share before technical pre-screens.

Tip 01

Work from the stack brief

Ask your recruiter for the role's stack brief and read it against your own experience. Refresh the two or three technologies you will be asked about most — depth in the core stack scores higher than breadth across everything.

Tip 02

Prepare two project stories

Choose two projects you can discuss for fifteen minutes each: the problem, your specific contribution, the technical decisions, and the measurable outcome. Assessors probe for what you personally owned — "we built" earns follow-up questions, "I built" earns trust.

Tip 03

Be ready for trade-off questions

Expect "why did you choose X over Y?" about your own past decisions. A reasoned answer about a choice that later proved wrong is stronger than a perfect choice you cannot explain.

Tip 04

Align on compensation early

Share your expected range and your floor in the intro call, in gross monthly or annual terms and in the currency you want to be paid in. Late-stage mismatches are the most common reason good processes fail — early alignment protects your time.

Tip 05

Be precise about logistics

Know your notice period, your earliest start date, your location and time-zone constraints, and your availability windows for interviews. Employers move faster for candidates whose logistics are unambiguous.

Tip 06

Interview the employer back

Prepare questions about team shape, release cadence, on-call expectations, and how performance is reviewed. Structured processes run both ways — asking sharp questions is a positive signal, not a risk.

Our commitments

What you can expect from us, in writing

Recruiting only works long-term if candidates trust the process. These commitments apply to every search we run, whether or not it ends in a placement.

01

Honest role briefs

Before any call

You receive the role scope, team context, seniority expectations, and — where the employer allows — the compensation range in writing. If something about the role is unclear or unattractive, we say it plainly rather than overselling.

02

Feedback after every stage

Within 3 business days

After each stage — including the technical pre-screen and every employer round — you receive the outcome and the reasoning. Positive or negative, you never have to chase us to find out where you stand.

03

Confidentiality of your search

Always

Your search stays private. We never contact your current employer, never reference you publicly, and never share your profile outside the specific process you approved.

04

Careful handling of your data

Read the privacy policy

Your CV, screening notes, and contact details are processed under our published privacy policy, consistent with Ukrainian personal-data law. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by writing to contact@lunaverqostia.com.

Start the conversation

Ready to be considered for a technology role?

Send us your profile with a few lines about what you want next — stack, seniority, lunaverqostia, compensation expectations, and timing. A recruiter replies within 2 business days with either a relevant open role or an honest view of when we are likely to have one.

  • Attach a CV or link a profile — both work, whichever is fresher.
  • Mention your notice period and preferred location or remote setup.
  • Tell us if your search is confidential — it always is by default.
